Irene Nikas-Theisen

Mrs. Irene Nikas Theisen, lawyer, holds both Greek and German citizenship, and is a graduate of Heidelberg Law University. She was formerly a judge (for life) in the Federal Republic of Germany. After her establishment in Greece and the successful recognition of her diplomas with state exams she was admitted as a lawyer to the Athens Bar Association and since then she has practiced law in Greece. She is also appointed to the Greek supreme Courts of Appeal (Areopagus and Conseil d¢ Etat). She has a longstanding experience in the practice of law which includes both in and out of court advice and representation of clients.

Mrs. Irene Nikas is a founder and board member of the Greek-German Lawyers Association as well as Vice President of the German Lawyers Association in Greece. She is also a member of the Union des Avocats Europeens (UAE), the Association of European Lawyers (AEA), the Union for Foreign and International Private and Financial Law of the Heidelberg University and the Study group of Succession Law - DAV, the American Hellenic Institute (AHI), and the World Hellenes Abroad (SAE).

Mrs. Irene Nikas¢ main activities in the practice of law include both in and out of court advice and representation of clients in the areas of Commercial and Labour Law, Industrial and Intellectual Property Law, specifically Commercial Contract Law, Trademark and Patent Law, Civil law in general, Real Estate Law, Insurance Law, Private International Law including the recognition and execution of foreign court decisions and enforcement orders, Public and European Law, Consumer Protection Law, Food Law and Competition Law.
